Neptuno 6 Benagil

Benagil Beach:

The nearest beach to the apartment is Praia de Benagil, which is just a 5 minute walk away. This beach is sheltered by high cliffs and you can take a boat trip to the famous Benagil Caves from here.  There is a small cafe providing snacks, ice creams and drinks. There are toilet and shower facilities but no sun lounger or parasol hire.

Praia do Carvalho:

This beach is quieter than Benagil beach and is a 15 minute walk from our apartment; although there are no facilities the beach is set within stunning scenery. The only access is via steps through a man-made tunnel in the cliffs.

Praia da Marinha:

Just a 10 minute drive will take you to Praia da Marinha. This is one of the most photographed beaches in the Algarve with a long stretch of sandy beach and spectacular cliff formations. There is a cafe on the beach and car parking.

Other Beaches:

There are also numerous small beaches and coves along the coastline that can be discovered either from the Seven Hanging Valleys Coastal Walk or by car.

The nearest clothing optional beaches are:

Praia dos Caneiros between Carvoeiro and Ferragudo. This beach has a cafe and all beach facilities, the clothing optional part is the second cove around the small headland. Usually accessible up to 2 hours before and 2 hours after high tide.

Praia Grande between Armacao de Pera and Salgados. A vast wide open stretch of sand with dunes behind. The clothing optional area is in the central part of the beach. There are two beach cafes and parking but no other facilities.
